Senior Loan Administrator

We are a recruitment agency looking for one of our client a Senior Loan Administrator.

Job Description

Comprehensive transaction administration of the Bank’s loan portfolio in accordance with existing Service Level Agreements, providing a high standard of service to all customers in the most cost efficient and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

To process a range of loan event types (Drawdowns, Rollovers etc.) within relevant cut-off times as part of the day to day administration of the Bank’s loan portfolio in accordance with current procedures, compliance and audit requirements.
• To ensure all loan transactions are correctly administered and properly recorded to minimise financial and regulatory risk to the Bank and ensuring production of accurate reporting.
• To ensure any outstanding Loan Services items on assigned nostro reconciliations accounts and Loan Services suspense accounts are properly investigated, actioned and reported.
• To assist in organising the transaction allocation and workflow structure of the team for maximum efficiency.
• To handle internal and external customer correspondence and enquiries effectively and in accordance with current Service Level Agreements, maintaining a close working relationship with internal and external contacts.
• To maintain a high personal standard of work performance, ensuring compliance with the Staff Handbook and any other relevant internal regulations and policies.
• To work towards achieving individual and departmental objectives as set and agreed, while providing regular updates to the Head of Loan & Trade Finance Services.
• To maintain accurate transactional and timesheet statistics in respect of transactions administered, in order to aid the production of productivity / cost efficiency reports which support overall costs charged to customers.
• To provide technical and practical expertise to other members of the team whenever possible, based on previous knowledge and experience. To check/authorise team’s work as required, acting as a signatory where authorised.
• To support the Loan Services team structure, providing pro-active and constructive involvement in all joint responsibilities, discussions and objectives.
• To participate in the Banking Services cross-training and job-familiarisation initiatives, providing cover and support as required.
